Loni's Story



Loni lost 21 inches, 22 pounds of fat and gained 8 1/2 pounds of muscle in 16 weeks!

My name is Loni Bronson and I am the owner of a medium-sized business in the Triangle. After starting my business and getting married, my life took twists and turns that kept me from focusing on my health, and I felt it.

When I was younger I learned how to do strength training through the Richard Simmons program, and really enjoyed the results. I lived elsewhere at the time, and since moving to Raleigh, have done what everyone else seems to do -- join a gym. I don't like this option at all, though as I don't like being in that environment. I didn't think, however, that I had a choice.

One day I met Angela at a Women's Seminar at the Cardinal Club and she took a minute to explain what she did -- supports women's efforts in transforming their bodies in their own homes, regardless of whether or not they have their own equipment. Although I had just joined yet another facility, I took her information and filed it for future reference, in case I needed it.

As it turned out, perhaps due to the troubled state of the economy, the facilities I joined kept closing which kept forcing me to have to find another solution. It was then that I remembered I had Angela's information, and decided to give her a call. I really wanted to change the way my body looked, and I believed she could do it.

In our very first session, in addition to having measurements taken and a before photo, we covered goals, food, and my complete medical background. I remembered some of this from Richard Simmons and believed I was on the right track from the start. Since I am naturally determined and disciplined, and her program was very easy to follow, I had no trouble whatsoever staying on track.

I began eating smaller portions of healthy food more frequently throughout the day, and she came 3 times a week to direct my strength training. She was very open to what I wanted to do and always structured the session in ways that accommodated me. In addition, I did cardio 3-4 days a week in her absence. I was happy to find that my body began to change immediately. She says that I did a great job remaining focused and committed, and although I don't like to exercise, the total program was easy for me. she would take measurements every week so that we could see exactly what was changing and by how much. BUT after a while when my clothes literally began hanging off of me, I didn't need to look at the measurement pages any more. I needed a tailor and a great sale, as nothing in my closet fit any more!

After 12 weeks of 3 times a week I went down to 4 weeks of once a week and then I was satisfied that I could continue on my own. Angela helped me get a ball, some strength bands, and other equipment and workout plans that will keep me going for a long time. When we finished, I had lost a total of 21 inches, 22 pounds of fat, and gained 8 1/2 pounds of muscle. In addition, I lost 5 1/2 inches in my belly, 3 1/2 inches in my waist and 1 3/4 inches in my thighs! But I'm still working on it and have made progress since then! I feel so positive, like I can accomplish more, I'm more in control, as well as being stronger physically and mentally. This has flowed into all aspects of my life, and I'm enjoying it much more. In the past my body image kept me from doing the things I wanted to do, but no more! There are no more disguises, no makeup, and no excuses! Thank you, Angela.
